Specialist Pain Medicine Physician

Dr Poshi De Silva is an Australian trained pain medicine physician. He is dual-qualified in Pain Medicine and General Practice. He obtained his MBBS degree in 2005. Having completed his General Practice fellowship in 2018, he has undergone further specialty training in Pain Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Gold Coast Health Service and was awarded fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2022.
Dr De Silva does private practice at Brisbane Private Hospital and Sunnybank Private Hospital in addition to his public engagement as a consultant in Pain Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital pain clinic.
Dr De Silva has experience in occupational medicine and injury management. He is a member of several professional associations including Spinal Interventional Society, European Pain Federation, Australian Pain Society and International Association of the Study of Pain (IASP). He also holds an academic title with University of Queensland as a senior lecturer.
Dr De Silva believes in holistic integrated patient care and utilises multidisciplinary, multimodal and interventional approaches for management of pain. His special interest areas includes management of low back pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, fibromyalgia and persistent post surgical pain.
Paediatric Immunologist and Allergist

Dr Krishanthi Ariyawansa is an Australian trained paediatrician. She completed her basic and advanced training in paediatrics in both regional and metropolitan hospitals across Queensland including Queensland Children’s Hospital. Dr Ariyawansa graduated in Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in 2005. Prior to moving to Australia in 2010 she has worked in India and Sri Lanka. Following completion of general paediatric training Dr Ariyawansa has completed 12 months of allergy and immunology training at Queensland Children’s Hospital.
Dr Krishanthi Ariyawansa has many years of experience in paediatrics and provides care to children from neonates to 18 years of age. She has experience in diagnosis and management of children with allergies, autoimmune and immunological conditions. Dr Krishanthi Ariyawansa has special interest in management of food allergies, eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria and angioedema in paediatric patients.
As a mother of 3 children of her own, Dr Krishanthi understands the challenges of parenthood and passionate about caring for children and families with allergic and immunological conditions to support them through their journey.
Physiotherapist
Andrew Roberts is a physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience across sports clinics and medical centres. He has a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and pain management, with particular expertise in treating shoulder, lower back, and knee conditions.
Andrew is trained in dry needling and Pilates (mat and reformer), which he integrates into his treatment to support recovery, mobility, and long-term strength. With a sporting background in open-water swimming and a love for running and AFL, he brings a practical, athlete-focused perspective to rehabilitation. Currently training for a marathon, he understands the physical and mental demands of endurance sport and enjoys helping people achieve their goals — whether that’s returning to daily activity, the workplace, or peak performance.

Kevin is a dedicated physiotherapist distinguished for his expertise in managing complex musculoskeletal conditions, including headaches and migraines. Driven by a commitment to excellence, he is passionate about delivering evidence-based, personalised care that empowers patients to achieve lasting results.
Raised in Brisbane, Kevin completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Griffith University, where he developed a strong foundation in musculoskeletal health. Since then, he has built valuable experience in private practice, continually refining his skills and deepening his knowledge through the latest research. His special interests lie in the treatment of headaches & migraines, neck, shoulder, and low back injuries – areas he is highly regarded for.
Kevin believes in a truly patient-centred approach, tailoring each treatment plan to the individual’s goals, needs, and circumstances. He combines thorough assessment, personalised hands-on therapy, and tailored exercise programs to help his patients not only recover but also take control of their own health. As Kevin often says, “It’s about treating the person, not just the diagnosis.”
Outside of his professional life, Kevin’s passion for golf reflects his appreciation for consistency and precision. He stays active through the gym and swimming at the beach, and values quality time spent with friends, good food, and the occasional competitive board game.

Dat is a highly experienced physiotherapist with half a decade of dedicated practice, specialising in sports physiotherapy through his work with various sporting teams across Queensland. His unique qualifications as a Sports and Exercise Scientist and an ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach allow him to expertly bridge the gap between rehabilitation and peak performance.
Dat is committed to a holistic, evidence-based treatment philosophy. He combines tailored physiotherapy with targeted strength training to empower clients, whether they are recovering from an injury, aiming to enhance their physical performance, or simply seeking to improve their daily movement.
He has pursued advanced training to further enhance his clinical practice, including qualifications in advanced dry needling and certification as a Level 2 practitioner of the Watson Headache® Approach. This has cultivated a special clinical interest in the effective management of headaches, migraines, and jaw-related pain.
Beyond the clinic, Dat embodies an active and adventurous lifestyle. He is currently training for his next triathlon and has a personal goal of trekking to Everest Base Camp, reflecting his deep passion for movement and challenge. Known for his warm and approachable nature, Dat is dedicated to helping you achieve your health and movement goals, enabling you to move with renewed strength and confidence.

Celia is an engaging, motivating psychologist using evidence-based interventions with an empathic and understanding approach. She works forensically and collaboratively – helping clients to understand what’s going on for them – and then working together to find effective solutions to help them move forward with their lives.
Experienced in treating a broad range of psychological conditions, including, anxiety, depression, grief, pain and adjustment, injury management, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma and as well as key life stressors and difficult events, Celia uses techniques such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). Her natural relaxed style ensures you are felt heard and supported throughout your treatment and recovery.

Exercise Physiologist
Lisa understands that living with chronic pain can be challenging, and that the path to recovery looks different for everyone. She works with kindness, compassion, and a team-based approach to help you find strategies that improve your health, movement, and quality of life.
She holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science (Griffith University) and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Southern Cross University) and is a certified Clinical Pilates practitioner and accredited GLA:D (Good Life with Osteoarthritis Denmark) clinician.
Lisa has a special interest in women’s health and pelvic pain and is continuing her studies with the Institute of Pelvic Health (USA). She also brings extensive experience in supporting people with musculoskeletal injuries (including WorkCover), neurological conditions, chronic disease, and cardiac rehabilitation.
HAND THERAPY | PHYSIOTHERAPY
Based in Brisbane, Extend Rehabilitation is dedicated to caring for the hand and upper arm; including injuries to the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder and neck, as well as offering general musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Some of the conditions we treat include arthritis, nerve conditions, dislocations and fractures as well as all soft tissue, ligament and tendon injuries.

Our highly trained and industry-respected Physiotherapists and Hand Therapists practise current, evidence-based techniques to ensure your injury heals, your pain decreases and your movement, strength and function is optimised as swiftly as possible.
